Here’s an elegant depiction of a universal truth. In order for the “horses” of intention to set the “cart” of accomplishment in motion, we must act.

Next to creativity,  success is one of my most intensely passionate fields of study.  I’m especially fascinated by how creative beings stitch together successful and satisfying lives out of a patchwork quilt of challenging circumstances.

Anyway,  here’s a post from a writer who lays it out much more clearly than I have thus far.

Hope you enjoy:

Jim, I did enjoy this post. It’s a challenge to set goals and then take the steps to act on them. Small steps resulting in some forward progress should give some satisfaction

I hear what you’re saying. While I’d be listening for the chainsaws too, I have to admit, I spend a significant portion of my time now listening for chainsaws and watching as branches get cut out from under my friends.

I’m not saying I would willingly leave my job for a job weaving baskets on the Gulf shore, more that I have finally begun to recognize that in choosing not to make the effort to broaden my stream of income and pursue additional avenues of livelihood, I have really limited my own potential success.
